France and Croatia
Shortly after my return from Penang, I was asked to attend the Symposium about Deaf Sports Reform in Zagreb, Croatia.I immediately flew off to Zagreb, Croatia after so much fuss over air ticket. Please remember that buying air ticket is not easy in summer vacation to Europe as people are having their vacation in Europe.
I was having long transit in Paris, France from 6.20am to 11.15pm. What a long transit I ever had during my travel!
I decided to go out to the heart of Paris to explore on my own. In my hand, there is only a train map. No other map or guide book at all. Ahem folks, I had to depend on my instinct to get around in Paris. It was last minute arrangement.
I remembered that my friend told me that Effiel Tower was very near to train station. If you see the big tower, just walk towards the Tower.
The first thing I see on train map was sooo complicated. I took about 15 to 20 minutes to figure out where is the airport as there are many airports in France. My eyes nearly popped out when I see train map.
Oh my so complicated. I managed to circle 2 places of interest that I wanted to visit.
1) Effiel Tower
2) Lourve Museum, the world largest museum
I had to track carefully where to change train and to check out where is my airport so that I can return back to catch plane to Zagreb, Croatia.
Please see the photos below about Paris, France. Even through I had a short stay in France, it was a pleasant place to visit despite the high expense i spent.
My next stop was Zagreb, Croatia. I arrived in Zagreb at late hour and it was nearly midnight. It was fortunate that I saw 2 deaf people waiting at terminal because they were picking up one delegate from Italy.
They offered me a ride to hotel. What a warm welcome….
Zagreb holds a nice Meriditian flavours. By meeting the Italian delegate, i started to reminsce on my previous trip to Italy. Feel like i am in Europe again.
If you come across the famous water foundation in Rome, Italy and make a wish by throwing the coin from the right side of back, the sayings will be " You will return to Italy." This saying is common among the tourists in Italy.
The feeling of wander lust rushed through my body and Iwas high with ardealin rushing through to see more of sights in Zagreb.
To end the trip, it did not went well but it was a learning experience where i managed to stand strong to make decisions on my own at the critical period.
Promise to post in the photos of my trip in few days later.
Will carry on more later...
